Cardrona is renowned for great natural snow due to a higher elevation and its southerly aspect. Cardrona Alpine Resort is within one minute’s walk to the lifts, this is absolute convenience. There are fifteen units in total made up of three configurations. Generally availability is very limited with a high number of returning guests from previous seasons. While the apartments are self-catering, breakfast is available at the Mezz cafe from 8.30am and lunch from all the mountain restaurants.

International base facilities surround a central courtyard including:

  • Medical Centre - Cardrona’s medical facilities, equipment, curriculum and of course staff are of a very high standard. A registered doctor is on duty at all times, and a physiotherapist is on standby. Trained patrol staff monitor on-slope safety constantly.
  • Lockers are available in rental for the small fee of $4.

Food & Beverage

They have five cafes on the mountain.

Downstairs in the main base building, you will find the Base Cafe, which serves a huge range of fast food and beverages, great for those on the run, and plenty of sweet things to keep the energy levels up.

Upstairs you will find the Mezz Cafe with a restaurant-style lunch. it has great views of the mountain-the coffee is excellent and a wide selection of wines and spirits are available.

Beside the Base Cafe is the Juice and Java Bar, which serves freshly made juices, smoothies and espresso coffees.

Dining slope-side is even better with a Noodle Bar which has wide decks overlooking the slopes. Select fresh vegetables along with your choice of noodles and meats cooked on the spot for hot nutritious dining.

On the other side of the mountain is the Captain's Pizzeria where the food is delicious and the sheltered outdoor dining makes you feel on top of the world.

Self Catering:

Please ensure you bring all of your own groceries with you as the restaurant is not always open in the evening. They are looking at opening the Mezz Cafe for drinks and dinner three or four nights a week. It is possible to order meals from the Mezz café and Noodle Bar in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. Remember though if the mountain is closed these restaurants would not be open so you will need to be able to prepare your own meals. Bread, milk, beer, wine, washing powder & phone cards are available for purchase from your Apartment Manager. It is recommended to bring your own initial supply of bread and milk.

All apartments are fully self-contained and have a laundry and drying room.

Childcare:

To arrange childcare or all day supervision including lessons for children 3 months to 14 year contact the Kids Centre. It is essential to book your under 5 year olds in advance of your arrival

Prices for both services:- $160 per shuttle up to 11 persons - includes charge for waiting at supermarket while you shop for up to 20mins or for $40 extra they will wait for an extended period.

If you arrive during the day tell the car parkers you are staying in the Apartments and they will direct you to the appropriate parking area if possible.

The dining area has a large table and adjoins the lounge area with bed settees and TV/video. Two units have ensuite bathrooms.

One 4 bedroom apartments (8-10):

  • Bedroom 1: King size bed
  • Bedroom 2: Two single beds
  • Bedroom 3/Loft: 4 single single beds; or Twin Bedroom: Two bed settes
  • Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, oven and microwave. Three bathrooms with showers. A clothes washer/dryer. The dining area has a large table and adjoins the lounge area with Bed settees and TV/video.

Five 2 bedroom apartments (4-6 people):

  • Bedroom 1: Queen size bed
  • Bedroom 2: Two single beds
  • Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, oven and microwave. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. A clothes washer/dryer is in each apartment’s laundry. The dining area has a large table and adjoins the lounge area with sofas (that fold out to a double bed) and TV/video.

Three Studio apartments (2-4 people):

  • King size bed and two single beds.
  • Kitchen includes stove-top elements, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. The lounge area includes a sofa and TV/video. The kitchen area also has a breakfast bar and bar stools. A clothes washer/dryer is in each apartment laundry and a drying room is shared with the two-bedroom apartment below.
