Nestled high into the hillside on the banks of the Shotover River on 9 acres of land sits a peaceful, relaxing holiday home cottage Shotover Retreat. Kick back and relax and enjoy the spectacular views that span out over the Shotover river past Nugget Point and out to Coronet Peak Ski Field Queenstown.

Shotover Retreat is located within easy access to local adventure and tourist attractions, but hidden away enough to enable you to get away from it all at the end of the day.

Enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony in the evening and watch the sun go down in the summer of have a cup of hot cocoa as you watch the night skiers on Coronet Peak.

Sheep and goats roam the paddocks in the surrounding hillside, and you may even find a frog or two!

Concierge Service

At Shotover Retreat your every need and desire can be catered for by their personal concierge company, Toucn of Spice.

Touch of Spice will welcome you to Shotover Retreat and can assist with booking activities, arranging in-house catering, organising transfers and even stocking the pantry.

They will help create a home away from home before you arrive, turning on the lights, lighting the fire and turning down the beds. And during your stay, they are on hand 24/7 to provide any assistance required to ensure your stay is relaxing and trouble free.

Accommodation Information:

Two bedrooms sleep four guests comfortably. Downstairs is the master bedroom with a king size bed. There is a small room adjoining this which would be perfect for a port-a-cot for baby.

Upstairs there are three single beds and a trundleer bed. All beds are new with electric blankets, mattress protectors and duvets. There is also a sofa bed in the living area.

Both bedrooms have wardrobes.

There is a main bathroom with shower over the bath, seperated toilet and fully equipped laundry with iron and ironing board.

All linen is supplied as a minimal charge for ease. This consists of sheets, towels, bathmats, pillow cases and tea towels.

There is ample car parking. Sorry, no smoking and no animals.

Location Information:

Head out of central Queenstown on Gorge Road west on the Queenstown/Arrowtown route. Shotover Retreat is perfectly located only 3 minutes drive from Queenstown and 5 minutes to Coronet Peak ski resort.

The local Arthers Point is just down the road and a few hundred metres further is the popular Shotover Jet. A short 5 min drive further will bring you to the first of many local art galleries.
