Real Journeys - Landsborough Wilderness Experience
To experience the ultimate rafting adventure, choose the three-day Landsborough Wilderness Experience. Traverse some of New Zealand's most remote and untouched alpine scenery, raft down the Landsborough River as it flows from Mt Cook National Park to the Haast River in South Westland. The trip includes bush walking, camping, canyoning and paddling through exciting rapids interspersed with meandering river flats. Departures every Tuesday (1 November through 31 March).

- Rafting with a small group through remote and untouched scenery
- Two nights' camping in tent accommodation
- Delicious meals included on river and at camp
- Coach transport from Queenstown and flight to upper Landsborough River valley by helicopter or small aircraft
- Extensive safety instructions and paddling techniques, senior qualified guides, safety kayaker and radio contact with our Queenstown base
- Full rafting wetsuit clothing and safety equipment provided
- Suitable for water competent people of moderate fitness (15 years and over).

Highlights:
Scenic drive through the spectacular Southern Lakes region, past Lakes Wakatipu, Wanaka and Hawea and over the Haast Pass
Scenic flight to upper Landsborough River valley by helicopter or small aircraft
8 hours approximately total rafting (grade 2-4+ rapids)
What to bring:
Sleeping bag, personal off-river clothing/toiletries, swimsuit, towel and money (for extra food/drink).
Note: Please leave your valuables behind as no responsibility is taken for clients' belongings.
They provide:
Tents and camping equipment, safety gear and rafting clothing (including wetsuit, wetsuit jacket, spray jacket, paddle, helmet, wetsuit booties, and a life jacket).
Note: Participation in rafting activities involves a degree of risk and the rafting operator cannot absolutely guarantee participants' safety. Participants need to listen carefully to our guide's instructions. We reserve the right to cancel trips or substitute another river or section of river for safety reasons.
