Gondor (Twizel) - Lord of the Rings Tour
Only a short drive from Twizel is the location for Gondor, the White Mountains and the Entwash. In the cold spring weather of 2000, an amazing 8 scenes for the Return of the King where shot during 30 relentless days of filming!
Here, Peter Jackson, along with 1500 people (the biggest number of crew to gather in any one place) created the largest ever battle in the trilogy and in cinematography history!
This location is on private land and only Discovery Tours has daily access by invitation from the land owners. Come and experience the inspiration and grandeur of the Pelennor fields for yourself.

NZ$75 per adult, NZ$35 per child (6-12yrs), free for 0-5 year olds
