The Terms and Conditions documents (available for download at bottom of page) contain a summary of some of the rental conditions. For detailed conditions, refer to the rental agreement upon vehicle collection.
PLEASE NOTE:- Campervan and 4WD rentals are available from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.
- The Rookie is available from and to Auckland and Christchurch
- Rental basis is per calendar day.
- Minimum rental period is 5 days (3 days for the Rookie).
- 10 day minimum between 23 December and 10 January and for vehicles collected from the North Island and returned to the South Island between October and March.
- Minimum rental periods are subject to change during peak periods.
- All rates and conditions are subject to change as required and without prior notification.

BRITZ BONUS PACK :
The Britz Bonus Pack for 2WD campervan rentals is NZ$53 per day (maximum charge of NZ$2650 per rental), in addition to the daily vehicle rate.
The Britz Bonus Pack for 4WD campervan rentals is NZ$65 per day (maximum charge of NZ$3250 per rental), in addition to the daily vehicle rate.
The daily rental rate and includes:- Excess Reduction Option 2
- No Worries Cover - extends cover for accidental damage to include overhead and underbody
- Diesel Tax Recovery Fee
- Pre-Purchase Gas
- Picnic table and chairs (per person travelling)
- Child/Booster Seat if required
- 1 x Linen & Bedding kit per person
- Extra Driver Fees
- 4WD Safety Kit (included in 4WD rentals only)
The Britz Bonus Pack for the ROOKIE is NZ$34 per day (maximum NZ$1,020 per rental) in addition to the daily rate and includes:
- Excess Reduction Option 2
- No Worries Cover
- 1 x linen and bedding kit per person
- Extra driver fees
Credit Card Fees of 1.75% for Visa and Mastercard and 4.5% for Ameican Express plus a Security Deposit apply.
2008 - 2009 Insurance
All vehicles are insured for damage to the vehicle and third party property. You are responsible for the first NZ$7,500 or NZ$1,800 for the Rookie.
This is debited to your credit card when the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. For this reason it is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance.

Accepted credit cards are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. A non-refundable surcharge of 1.75% will apply to all Visa and Mastercard transactions with 4.5% applicable to American Express. Credit Card surcharges also apply to debited security deposits and only the hirer's credit card is acceptable to use for the security bond.
They offer two options to reduce this excess:
2WD Excess Reduction Option 1 – NZ$20 per day (maximum charge of NZ$1000)
4WD Excess Reduction Option 1 – NZ$25 per day (maximum charge of NZ$1250)
Note: This option is not available for the Rookie
The excess is reduced to NZ$2500, which is held as your security deposit. This amount will be debited to your credit card when the vehicle is collected.
Rookie 2WD Excess Reduction Option - NZ$19 perday (maximum charge of NZ $570)
2WD Excess Reduction Option 2 - NZ$38 per day (maximum charge of NZ$1900)
4WD Excess Reduction Option 2 - NZ$47 per day (maximum charge of NZ$2350)
The excess is reduced to nil (2WD) & NZ$440 (4WD). The security deposit of NZ$220 (2WD) or NZ$440 (4WD) is recorded as an imprint against your credit card when the vehicle is collected.
Excess Reduction Option 2 is included in the Britz Bonus Pack.
No Worries Cover Option
In addition to Excess Reduction Option 2, this one-off payment of NZ$50 per hire for 2WD vehicles and NZ$120 for 4WD vehicles covers you for accidental overhead and underbody damage to the vehicle. Please note that overhead and underbody damage cover is excluded unless the No Worries Cover option has been purchased.
No Worries Cover Option is included in the Britz Bonus Pack.
