SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Wellington
On arrival in Wellington you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, then you’re free to see Wellington for yourself. Tonight meet your Driver Guide and fellow travellers for a welcome drink.
Hotel: Museum Hotel, Wellington, 2 nights.
Day 2: Wellington 'Free Time'
Today is at leisure. Why not explore Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand?Perhaps take a tour of the Parliament buildings, go shopping or enjoy a mealat one of the many cafés or restaurants in Wellington. B
Day 3: Wellington - Napier
Travel along the Kapiti Coast through to Masterton. Later continue to Napier for a tour of this Art Deco city.

Day 4: Napier - Rotorua
Your exclusive local guide takes us on a walking tour to show the many different types of Art Deco architecture. In 1931 Napier was struck by an earthquake measuring 7.8. The subsequent fires destroyed most of the city which was later rebuilt in Art Deco style. This afternoon you’ll visit Taupo on the shores of Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake. View the Huka Falls and pass the Wairakei Geothermal Power Station. On arrivalin Rotorua visit theWhakarewarewa Village for an authentic look at how Maori live today and how geothermal activity is part of their everyday life. View boiling mud pools and the Pohutu Geyser. Top off the day with a Maori Hangi and concert.

Day 5: Cambridge Farm Stay
Today is an array of pleasures! Enjoy a view of life on the farm at the Agrodome Sheep Show and see sheep shearing, lamb feeding and more. This afternoon visit Rainbow Springs for a guided tour. Marvel at the grace of the numerous specimens of trout and feed them as they cruise the fern-fringed pools. Hear the bush wildlife and meet the native birds including the kiwi. Later travel to the English-style country town of Cambridge where you will be collected by your local farm host for some genuine Kiwi hospitality – an overnight Farm Stay! A farm tour is followed by dinner with your hosts.

Day 6: Farm Stay - Coromandel
Depart Cambridge this morning and travel towards the Coromandel Range. This afternoon you’ll meet ‘Kiwi Dundee’ for a tour of the region and a look at native wildlife. Your unique accommodation is set amongst native bush in luxury tree huts.

Day 7: Coromandel – Auckland
Visit the Ruakuri Glow Worm Grotto for a guided tour. Then travel to Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand, for a city tour before arriving at your hotel.

Day 8: Auckland – Hokianga
Travel to Orewa and the scenic Hibiscus Coast, birth place of Sir Edmund Hillary. Continue through the Waipoua Forest, home of many native trees including the largest Kauri tree in existence, Ta¯ne Mahuta, over 2,000 years old!Your Maori Guide will walk you through the native bush and explain the history and legend behind the mighty Kauri. Continue to your waterfront hotel in Hokianga.

Day 9: Hokianga – Bay of Islands
This morning depart for Opua in the Bay of Islands. Your cruise includes full commentary on the history, environment and some of the Bay of Island’s most spectacular landmarks. Cruise through majestic clear waters past Russell, the first European settlement in New Zealand. Enjoy the scenic delights of Roberton Island with its many lagoons. This evening drop anchor in a sheltered bay, where there’s time to try kayaking or snorkelling or perhaps take a guided walk on one of the many islands with the experienced crew.

Day 10: Bay of Islands - Auckland
After a hearty breakfast there are numerous activities available to you – try fishing, parasailing or even a scenic helicopter flight (all own expense & weather permitting). As you cruise back towards Opua, take time to explore the many different islands and reefs, from the comfort of the cruiser's viewing decks. Perhaps see dolphins or orca! Later this morning you’ll disembark your cruise and transfer to Paihia for time at leisure. This afternoon you are transferred by luxury coach to Auckland, where your tour concludes. B
